The density of our vineyards are approximately <strong>5,000 plants per hectare.<\/strong> Harvest <strong>70 Q of grape per hectare.<br \/><\/strong><br \/><strong>The training systems<\/strong> employed by Terre di Argillaia are <strong>Spurred Cordon and Guyot<\/strong> in the younger vineyards, and <strong>Capovolto<\/strong> in the older.<\/p><p>The timing of the harvest is <em>the September thru October.<\/em><\/p><p><strong>A curiosity.<\/strong> The name <strong>Terre di Argillaia<\/strong> is derived from the deposit of clay that once stood in front of the estate. It was this clay that fed an ancient furnace for the production of pottery for which Tuscany is famousin Chianti.
